more than a name

Choosing to name our venture Structure was a natural one, combining our managerial expertise and an engineering education. In management, structure provides a key framework, it should be resilient but also flexible, able to be shaped to meet evolving circumstances. In engineering, structure defines the underlying form of a building, providing both its strength and external appearance. We combine both of these meanings, providing services that deliver long-lasting change to our clients’ organizations.

Our strategy clients are usually either successful companies wanting to develop beyond the normal operational effectiveness and the business plan mindset [see case] or public sector institutions mandated to realize a mission they are unable to fathom [see case] or civil society organizations needing to find a road to sustainability [see case].We start by ensuring that our client understands what strategy is and what it is not. We then collaborate with leadership and executive teams to ensure the collective work is truly owned by the enterprise. We support the implementation through the use of our proprietary tools, which have been developed from years of management and operational experience. Our aim is to empower our clients, ensuring they are comfortable with moving forward once our role is completed.Our preferred strategy development tools reflect the Balanced Scorecard, Blue Ocean Strategy and Situation analyses using Porter’s five forces, STEER, PESTEL and SWOT; Our preferred Strategy Implementation, management, measurement and development tool is the Balanced Scorecard.
